NEW THIS YEAR! Santa goes techno and will also do personal SKYPES with children/families from his workshop to talk about their upcoming trip to Sandestin. This Holiday season, families can bring the magic of Christmas to their home with a personal Skype with Santa Claus.
Santa will be available to Skype November 2- December 7 on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 4- 5 p.m.

Due to a public-private partnership with local supporters, the 2011 Jacksonville Light Parade is back! Whether you're a seafarer or landlubber, you are sure to be dazzled by the annual Jacksonville Light Parade. The parade has become a tradition for thousands of families and out-of-town guests who eagerly await the transformation of the St. Johns River. Boats of every shape and size are adorned with decorations that captivate senses and stimulate imaginations. This enchanted night is topped off by a fireworks display like no other, featuring the signature bridge "waterfalls."
People are asked to donate new, unwrapped toys or gift cards with a value of $15 or more and in exchange guests can play
Sandestin’s golf courses for just the green and golf car fee ($20).
Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort will offer golf at all three of its public courses, Raven Golf Club, Baytowne Golf Club and The Links Course.

The Village of Baytowne Wharf 5 p.m. Prepare to let your hair down on what many call the most festive day of the year, Fat Tuesday, the day before Ash Wednesday. “Laissez les bon temps rouler” (let the good times roll) with the 10th annual Fat Tuesday Baytowne Bash Parade rolling through Sandestin. Yell “throw me something mister” as unique and colorful floats, golf carts, and pick-up trucks roll down the streets and marchers dressed up in all their Mardi Gras best shower parade-goers with a barrage of beads, moon pies, and other trinkets. The post-parade celebration continues into the night with street performers, “throws” tossed from balconies on Main St, and parties at various Baytowne establishments. Free 850.267.8117
The Village of Baytowne Wharf 2:00 pm Join Sandestin for the 9th annual Mardi Gras Dog Parade. The 2012 parade is themed “Cruisin Canines, Fetch a Wave”. The streets will be filled with costumed dogs and their humans throwing a myriad of throws, beads, and parade favors. Themed convertibles, small floats (pulled by masters), golf carts, bicycles, and decorated wagons will be everywhere and Mardi Gras music will fill the air! The Mardi Gras Dog Parade is one of the premier canine events on the Emerald Coast with members of the four-pawed community coming far and wide to participate. Open to public. The 23rd Annual Sandestin Gumbo Cook-off is back at The Village of Baytowne Wharf this year. Prepare your palate while restaurants and businesses vie for the title of “Area’s Best” in Gumbo. Celebrity judges will hold blind judging contests for the "Area's Best" awards for gumbo. The award for Best Display, which goes to the business or restaurant with the most innovative booth, will also be announced. Cast your vote while enjoying live Zydeco music and family entertainment.
